Architecture
Phyllax is a single Electron process. There is no Phyllax backend. Every integration is a Model Context Protocol plugin that the local orchestrator spawns and routes to. Your machine does the work.

01 · Integration layer
MCP is the integration abstraction. Every tool ships as a plugin spawned as a child process. The orchestrator doesn't change when integrations come and go. New tool = new plugin, not a new branch.
02 · Storage
SQLite on disk for state. Credentials encrypted with the OS keychain (DPAPI on Windows, Keychain on macOS). Integration content — emails, messages, tickets, prompts — never leaves your device. There is no Phyllax server that receives any of it, and Phyllax does not collect analytics or telemetry.
03 · LLM routing
OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Grok, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Ollama, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint — Together AI, Groq, Fireworks, vLLM, or your company's internal AI gateway. Route per task by cost, latency, and privacy. You bring keys; Phyllax routes. Fully local with Ollama if you want it.
04 · Pipeline
An LLM-driven pipeline that turns noisy API streams into urgent, notable, and skip. Pre-filters happen in code before the model sees a token. Cheap when nothing's happening; thorough when it is.
05 · Execution
Multi-step tool-use runs with hard caps, structured output schemas, and observable state. The same loop pattern handles scheduler checks, the chat assistant, and cross-tool research. Failures don't compound; runs don't drift.

I built Phyllax because I wanted an AI agent that ran on my machine, integrated with the tools I actually use, and didn't ship my data to anyone else's cloud.

Nowhere. Phyllax runs locally as a desktop process. Credentials are encrypted with the OS keychain (DPAPI on Windows, Keychain on macOS). State lives in a local SQLite file. Nothing flows back to a Phyllax server — there is no Phyllax server.
