Notification Actions

When Asana finds something important, the notification card shows:

  • View issue — open the task in Asana
  • Add comment — AI drafts a comment you can edit before posting
  • Assign to me — assign the task to yourself
  • Escalate — flag the task for team leads
  • Mark complete — mark the task as done

All action chips that involve writing (Add comment, Escalate, etc.) open the AI draft panel — AI generates a suggested response that you can edit before posting.

Troubleshooting

"401 Unauthorized" error

Your personal access token may be revoked. Go to Asana → My Profile Settings → Apps and generate a new token.

Tasks not showing up

Personal access tokens inherit your account's permissions. You can only see tasks in projects and workspaces you're a member of.

"Not a member of this workspace" error

If you belong to multiple Asana workspaces, the token gives access to all of them. Make sure the tasks you're looking for are in a workspace where you're an active member.
