- Log in to Mailchimp
- Click your account icon → Account & billing → Extras → API keys
- Click Create A Key → copy the API key (ends with a data center suffix like
-us1) - Note the server prefix — it's the part after the dash (e.g.
us1,us21) - In Phyllax → Integrations → Mailchimp → Connect → paste the API key and server prefix
Required Credentials
| Field | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| API Key | Mailchimp → Account → Extras → API keys (ends with -us1 or similar) |
| Server Prefix | The part after the dash in your API key (e.g. us1) |
Server prefix
Your data center is embedded in your API key. If your key is abc123def456-us21, the server prefix is us21. This determines which Mailchimp server to connect to.

Troubleshooting
"API key invalid" error
Make sure you're including the full API key with the data center suffix (e.g. abc123-us1). The suffix is required.
"Wrong data center" error
The server prefix must match the suffix in your API key. If your key ends with -us21, the server prefix must be us21.
Campaign stats showing zeros
Mailchimp takes time to process campaign analytics. Stats may not be available for 1-2 hours after a campaign is sent. Try checking again later.
